These terms apply when you buy from Kumari Decors, operated by [LEGAL COMPANY NAME], [STREET ADDRESS, POSTCODE, CITY], CVR [CVR NUMBER]. You can reach us at [SUPPORT EMAIL] or +45 91 54 34 93.
By placing an order you accept these terms. Please read them first — they cover what you are buying, when you can change your mind, and what happens if something goes wrong.
Our products
We sell handmade decorative pieces. Because each piece is worked by hand, small variations in colour, finish, grain and dimensions are normal and are not defects.
Photographs show the piece as faithfully as we can, but screens differ and metals and finishes catch light differently in a photograph than in a room.
We describe each item as accurately as we can. If a description is wrong in a way that matters to your purchase, you may return the item under section 6 or ask us to put it right under section 8.
Prices and payment
All prices are shown in Danish kroner (DKK) and include Danish VAT. The price you see is the price you pay for the goods; delivery is added at checkout and shown before you confirm.
You can pay in two ways:
- By card or wallet, through Stripe. Depending on your device and country this may appear as a card, MobilePay, Apple Pay or Google Pay. You pay on Stripe's own secure page and we never see your card details.
- Cash on delivery, where you pay when the order reaches you.
A card order is confirmed once Stripe tells us the payment succeeded. Until then the order sits as pending, and we do not begin packing it.
If a price is listed incorrectly through an obvious error, we may cancel the affected order and refund you in full rather than supply at that price. We will tell you before we do.
Placing an order
You may order with an account or as a guest. With an account you can see your order history; as a guest you can look up a single order using its order number and the email address you gave.
You must be at least 18 years old to place an order or hold an account.
Your order is an offer to buy. A contract exists when we confirm the order by email. We may decline an order — for example if an item is out of stock, if we cannot deliver to your address, or if we suspect fraud — and if we do, you pay nothing.
Stock is limited and is reserved when your order is accepted, not when an item is added to your basket. Having something in your basket does not hold it for you.
Delivery
We deliver within Denmark, by two methods you choose at checkout:
- Parcel shop (Pakkeshop) — collected from a nearby pick-up point.
- Home delivery (Til døren) — delivered to your address.
The delivery fee for each method is shown at checkout before you confirm, and is the same for every Danish postcode.
We aim to dispatch within [DISPATCH TIME] and to deliver within [DELIVERY TIME]. These are estimates, not guarantees: once a parcel is with the carrier its progress is outside our control.
We will email you when your order is packed, when it is out for delivery, and when it is delivered.
Please check your parcel on arrival. If it arrives visibly damaged, tell us within a reasonable time and keep the packaging — it helps us claim against the carrier.
Cancelling before dispatch
You can cancel an order yourself while it is still pending, from your order page or by looking the order up with its number and your email address.
Once we start packing, self-service cancellation closes, because the piece is already being prepared. Contact us and we will cancel it if we still can.
If we cancel a paid order, we refund the full amount including delivery.
This is separate from your legal right to change your mind after delivery, which is section 6.
Your right to change your mind
As a consumer buying at a distance you normally have 14 days to change your mind, counted from the day you receive the goods. You do not need to give a reason.
To use this right, tell us within those 14 days at [SUPPORT EMAIL]. You then have a further 14 days to send the goods back.
Return the item unused and in a condition that lets us sell it again, with its packaging where possible. You may examine a piece as you would in a shop; using it goes further than that, and we may reduce your refund to reflect a loss in value.
You pay the cost of returning the goods unless we agreed otherwise or the item was faulty.
We refund within 14 days of receiving the goods back, or of proof that you sent them, using the same payment method you used. We refund the standard delivery cost you paid; if you chose a more expensive method, we refund the standard rate.
[CLIENT DECISION: if any piece is made or personalised to a customer's specification, that item is excluded from the 14-day right by law, and this section must say which items and how they are marked. Do not publish this bracket — either name the exclusion or delete this paragraph.]
Refunds and returns in practice
Once an order shows as delivered, you can open a refund request from your order page, telling us why.
We review each request and tell you the outcome. If we approve it, we return the money by the way you paid — a card payment goes back to the card through Stripe, and a cash-on-delivery order is refunded by bank transfer to details you give us.
If we decline a request, we say why, and you can respond with more detail and ask us to look again.
A refund on a card can take a few days to appear on your statement after we send it, depending on your bank.
If something is faulty
Danish law gives you a two-year right to complain about a fault that was present when you received the goods. This applies alongside section 6, and is not limited to 14 days.
Tell us as soon as you notice, at [SUPPORT EMAIL], with photographs where you can. If your complaint is justified we will repair, replace, reduce the price or refund you, and we cover the reasonable cost of returning the item.
This right does not cover normal wear, damage you cause, or the hand-made variations described in section 1.
Your account
Keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think somebody else has it. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
You can delete your account at any time from your settings. We confirm by email first, because deletion cannot be undone.
Deleting your account does not erase your past orders. Danish bookkeeping law requires us to keep the record of a sale, so we remove your name, address, email and telephone number from those orders and keep the amounts, dates and order number. Our privacy policy explains this in full.
We may suspend or close an account that is used fraudulently or abusively.
Emails from us
We send emails you need about an order — the confirmation, delivery updates and refund notices. These are part of the service and are not marketing.
Marketing is separate and always opt-in. Buying from us never signs you up for it, and you can withdraw at any time.
Our responsibility
We are responsible for supplying the goods you ordered, and for our own negligence, as Danish law provides.
We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as extreme weather, carrier strikes or the failure of a service we depend on.
Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under Danish law. Where a term conflicts with those rights, your rights win.
Site content
The text, photographs and design on this site belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy or reuse them commercially without our written permission.
We may change the site, our range and our prices. A change never affects an order we have already confirmed.
Complaints
Please come to us first, at [SUPPORT EMAIL] — most things are quickest to fix directly.
If we cannot agree, you can complain to the Danish Competition and Consumer Authority's Centre for Complaint Resolution, Nævnenes Hus, Toldboden 2, 8800 Viborg, through www.forbrug.dk.
If you live in another EU country you may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform. When you complain, please give our email address so the complaint reaches us.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. The version on this page always applies, and its date is shown at the top.
The terms that apply to your purchase are the ones published when you placed your order. A later change does not alter an order we have already confirmed.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Danish law, and disputes belong to the Danish courts. If you are a consumer, this does not remove the protection of the law of the country where you live.
